Mash Feed Plant
Technical Specification
Animal feed is manufactured using a variety of ingredients to provide a balanced diet containing proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals, medicines, and other essential nutrients. In mash feed manufacturing, certain ingredients such as De-oiled Rice Bran (DRB), rice polish, etc., are already available in powdered form, whereas ingredients like grains, fish meal, GNE, soya, etc., are available in solid form and need to be reduced to a granular or powdered size suitable for animal consumption. This size reduction is carried out using a Grinder or Hammer Mill.
Once all ingredients are converted into powder form, they must be mixed in precise proportions to achieve a uniform and homogeneous feed. Mixing is done using specially designed mixers. Therefore, grinding and mixing are the two core operations involved in mash feed manufacturing.
The intake hopper of the grinder and the top inlet of the mixer are generally installed at a height of approximately 5 to 8 feet from floor level, depending on machine size. To avoid manual lifting and ensure smooth material handling, screw conveyors are used to automatically lift raw materials from floor level to the required height.
Desired Features of a Mash Feed Plant:
- Consistent output as per the designed capacity
- Uniform and desired particle size during grinding
- Accurate and fast mixing for homogenous feed
- Provision of a reliable magnetic separation system
- Easy and controlled feeding of raw materials
- Matching capacity of all machines in the plant
- Minimal dust generation with better working conditions
- Low energy consumption per ton of feed processed
Keeping these requirements in mind, our experienced and innovative engineering team has developed advanced solutions to meet specific customer needs. After carefully analyzing individual requirements related to throughput and feed quality, we offer the most suitable combination of machines.
For grinding, we provide Two proven designs: Half Screen Hammer Mill, Full Screen Hammer Mill. For mixing, we offer three horizontal mixer options: Paddle Mixer, Double Ribbon Screw Mixer, and Triple Ribbon Mixer.
